Which celebrity's house is this? House #29: 716 Westview Avenue in Nashville, which sold in August for $1.49M
Today’s installment of “Which celebrity’s house is this?” involves the 5,470-square-foot stone house at 716 Westview Avenue in Nashville, Tenn., which sold to what we believe was a celebrity buyer in August 2007 for $1,490,000. We believe that the buyer of this house was a celebrity because the trustee’s name on the deed is Mary Ann McCready. Recall from our past posts that McCready long has represented a variety of well-known figures in the music industry over the years in their Nashville-area home purchases and sales, including Keith Urban and Mary Chapin Carpenter. Built in 1936 and located a 0.69-acre lot in the Royal Oaks area of Nashville, the house has five bedrooms, five full baths, nine-foot ceilings, a screened porch with a stone fireplace and terraces, and a three-car garage, according to public records and listing information. The sellers made quite a profit on the sale, having purchased the house themselves in 1995 for just $253,000, according to public records. The house had been listed for $1,599,000. Check out an online listing sheet for the house — complete with still photos and 360-degree views — here. So, dear readers, tell us if you know: who is the (relatively recent) buyer of this home?
