Which celebrity’s house was this? House #33: the 4,049-square-foot house at 3889 Fredonia Drive in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills, which just sold for $1.545M
Today’s installment of “Which celebrity’s house is this?” involves the 4,049-square-foot house at 3889 Fredonia Drive in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills, which sold recently for $1,545,000.
The house was owned by a celebrity, we believe, because the seller was something called the Lankershim Boulevard Trust, and the money manager’s name on the trust is Barry Greenfield, who typically manages big-name stars. (The trust is so named because it previously had owned the 2,058-square-foot house at 3718 Lankershim Boulevard in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills until selling it in 2005 for $1,350,000 to turntablist and producer DJ Lethal, according to public records.) Records show that the Lankershim Boulevard Trust sold the house on February 20, with the deal being recorded on April 1. The buyer is not a celebrity. The trust actually took a meaningful (from a time value of money standpoint) loss on the house, since it had purchased it in July 2005 for $1,575,000, according to public records. Built in 1957, the four-bedroom house is gated and has two and a half baths, canyon views and overlooks Universal Studios from its balconies and patios, according to public records and listing information. Other features include a billiard room, an art studio, an office, a private zen spa, a master suite with a fireplace, a sound studio, a media room with a cathedral ceiling and a gourmet kitchen with a center island and upgraded appliances, according to listing information. The house sits on a 0.21-acre lot, according to public records. It’s a little unclear what the asking price was. The house appears to have been on the market for $1,699,000 and also for $1,675,000. Check out a still-active website for the house – complete with lots of photos. So, dear readers, we ask you: does anyone know whose house this was?
