Today’s installment of “Which celebrity’s house is this?” involves the six-bedroom house at 499 Halvern Drive in Los Angeles’ Brentwood area, which recently sold after having been on the market for $8,499,000. The reason we believe that the house was purchased by a celebrity is because the buyer was something called the Jumble Land Trust. And, the money manager whose name appears on the deed is Matthew Lichtenberg, a fellow who has a variety of celebrity buyers and sellers over the years, including Will Ferrell, Fred Durst and Ron Fair. Records show that the Jumble Land Trust closed on the house for an undisclosed price on May 6, with the deal being recorded on May 21. The seller, a onetime investment banker for Bear Stearns who left the company a few years ago, is not a celebrity. Built in 1940, the house has a total of 11 baths, a large library, an English-style pub, a custom new kitchen, and a large formal entry, according to listing information. Outdoor features on the gated, 0.85-acre lot include a two-story guest house, a cabana, a gym and entertainment pavilion, a veranda overlooking the sprawling grounds and gardens, a black bottom pool, a spa and waterfalls, according to public records and listing information. Listing information also states that the house measures 10,000 square feet and not the 5,271 square feet listed in public records.
