Today’s installment of “Which celebrity’s house is this?” involves the 2,261-square-foot, modernist-style house at 2180 Groveland Drive in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills, which sold in January for $1,565,000. groveland-vi.jpggroveland-i.jpggroveland-iv.jpggroveland-vii.jpggroveland-v.jpggroveland-iii.jpggroveland-ii.jpg We suspect that the house was purchased by a celebrity, because a trust’s name (the 2180 Groveland Drive Revocable Trust) appears on the purchase deed, and also because the name of the trustee/money manager for the trust is Steven Blatt. Astute readers of this blog will recall that Blatt’s name has appeared on the deeds of homes owned by several other celebrities, including Hilary Swank, Jennie Garth and Steven Cojocaru. Built in 2000 and situated on a minuscule, 0.05-acre parcel, the house on Groveland Drive had been listed for $1,595,000. Features in the house, which was designed by the Offenhauser/Mekeel architectural firm, include large, loft-like public rooms, high ceilings, polished concrete floors, extra-large French doors, a fireplace in the living room and an open-plan gourmet kitchen, according to listing information. Other features include a large master suite on the top floor, a large roof deck with an exterior fireplace and panoramic views of the city and the hills, according to listing information. Check out an online listing sheet for the house – complete with photos – here. Records show that the buyer closed on the house on January 24, with the deal being recorded on February 15. So, dear readers, we ask you again, as always: which celebrity’s house is this?
