Where in the world is…? Celebrity #6: Mischa Barton, who paid $6.4M in 2005 for a 7,607-square-foot house in Beverly Hills, CA that she has said has "a heavy Moroccan vibe"
Today’s installment of “Where in the world is…?” involves 22-year-old, former “O.C” actress Mischa Barton, who in 2005 paid $6,400,000 to purchase a newly built, 7,607-square-foot house in the Beverly Hills, Calif. post office.
We weren’t blogging back when Barton bought the house — in her own name, no less! — but her purchase of the house, at 2670 Bowmont Drive in the Beverly Hills postal area, was overlooked (or ignored) by most of the celebrity real estate gossips who were writing at that time. However, not one but two celebrity gossip magazines — the Star and InTouch Weekly not only took pictures of the house but one of them, In Touch Weekly, actually got Barton to talk a bit about her home purchase.
Built in 2003, Mischa’s European-style mansion has six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, as one of the magazines had noted, and it does indeed sit on a 1.21-acre parcel. The one fact that both magazines just got flat-out wrong was the purchase price. The mansion presumably was listed for $6.9 million or $7.0 million (which is why the magazines used those figures as the value of the house), but Barton’s final purchase price was $6,400,000.
Other features in the mansion include a rustic kitchen, a sun-drenched library, wood-and-tile floors, a master bedroom with his-and-hers baths, and two guest houses, the magazines reported. “It’s Mediterranean and Italian, but with a heavy Moroccan vibe,” Barton told In Touch Weekly.
Barton isn’t the only celebrity homeowner on her gated, private street, which is just south of Mulholland Drive. Hunky actor John “Uncle Jesse” Stamos has owned the Country French-style house just two lots north of her, at 2708 Bowmont Drive, ever since his Lorbil Trust paid $3,570,000 for it in 2005, according to public records.

It has been reported that Orlando Bloom only has two homes (London, England and Los Angeles, California-USA). His home in the Brentwood Section of Los Angeles (O.J. Simpson use to live in the same neighborhood) is currently up for rent (asking price $18,000.00 per month) and the house number is 2227. I do not know the street , but I think that he spends most of his time in London, England because that was his first home and Bloom had a lot or remodeling done to it. Besides his mother and sister both resides in the London area. I think that he only brought a home in the U.S. was because he was working on a long movie here and other people had told him that New York and Hollywood are the places to be.Sounds like he regretted paying for a pricely house filled with ivys hanging everywhere outside in Los Angeles and now has it up for rent. The house is white cement or some kind of brick. I have seen pictures with his wife (don’t think this marriage will last because she was 2 months pregnant when he proposed to her and they jumped the broom the following month) pulling up the friveway alone. They apear to working very hard to poise for the cameras ans prove how happy they are, but didn’t Orlando do the same with all the others?

What I saw was a video of his wife pullling up in her car alone and getting out of the car. I saw the house number on this video and I think that the video is on youtubes or some other website. Hope this helps.
