Recently, two commenters have asked us to pen a “Where in the world is…?” item on Janet Jackson.
Obviously, our loyal readers can’t go directly to Janet and ask her “what have you done for me lately” in terms of her “control” of various homes, so they decided to approach us instead to see where the singer goes when she’s done performing and desires an “escapade.” So, here’s a brief discussion on the various properties that Janet Jackson has owned and occupied over the years.
And as we’re about to demonstrate, Janet may sing that “the best things in life are free,” but even so, she’s shown that it “doesn’t really matter” how much houses cost “ she’s willing to buy them!
First off, Janet (or Miss Jackson, if you’re “Nasty”) long has owned a 2,094-square-foot, 34th-floor unit (34A) in the Trump International Hotel & Tower condominium building, at 1 Central Park West in Manhattan (pictured). She purchased that unit in 1998 for $2,800,000, according to public records. The unit has the best views in the building (the northeast corner views), including of Central Park.
Jackson also owns a 4,636-square-foot house at 2469 Ping Drive in Henderson, N.V., just outside of Las Vegas, that she purchased through her Puffy Trust in early 2002 for $520,000, according to public records.
Jackson no longer is believed to own any real estate in southern California. However, she long has been rumored to rent in the Remington building at 10727 Wilshire Boulevard on Los Angeles’ Wilshire Corridor.
Every bit as interesting as Jackson’s current properties are the ones she’s owned in the past. These include:
–A 5,658-square-foot oceanfront house at 21822 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, Calif. that Jackson sold in mid-2004 for $8,500,000, according to public records. Jackson clearly had told herself, “let’s wait awhile” to sell the house, since she’d owned it for 13 years, having bought it in 1991 for $4.1 million, according to public records.
–A 9,142-square-foot mansion at 10802 Ambazac Way in Los Angeles’ Bel-Air area that Jackson sold in 2000 for an undisclosed price (and that is now owned by MGM’s Chairman and CEO Harry Sloan). She had owned that house for “just a little while,” having purchased it the previous year for an undisclosed price.
–A 9,060-square-foot house at 6836 Spyglass Lane in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. that she sold in 1997 for an undisclosed price.
–And finally, a 4,583-square-foot house at 18729 Hillsboro Road in Los Angeles’ Northridge area that Jackson quit-claimed to her ex-husband, Rene Elizondo, in 2002. Elizondo had sought spousal support, after the couple split up, but a judge clearly communicated to Elizondo that Jackson’s assets were most assuredly not “all for you.” Hey, “that’s the way love goes”!

It has been reported that Orlando Bloom only has two homes (London, England and Los Angeles, California-USA). His home in the Brentwood Section of Los Angeles (O.J. Simpson use to live in the same neighborhood) is currently up for rent (asking price $18,000.00 per month) and the house number is 2227. I do not know the street , but I think that he spends most of his time in London, England because that was his first home and Bloom had a lot or remodeling done to it. Besides his mother and sister both resides in the London area. I think that he only brought a home in the U.S. was because he was working on a long movie here and other people had told him that New York and Hollywood are the places to be.Sounds like he regretted paying for a pricely house filled with ivys hanging everywhere outside in Los Angeles and now has it up for rent. The house is white cement or some kind of brick. I have seen pictures with his wife (don’t think this marriage will last because she was 2 months pregnant when he proposed to her and they jumped the broom the following month) pulling up the friveway alone. They apear to working very hard to poise for the cameras ans prove how happy they are, but didn’t Orlando do the same with all the others?

What I saw was a video of his wife pullling up in her car alone and getting out of the car. I saw the house number on this video and I think that the video is on youtubes or some other website. Hope this helps.
