Where in the world is….? Celebrity #10: Actress Gretchen Mol, who owns a 1,285-square-foot in Los Angeles' Venice area that she purchased in 2005 for $1.5 million
Today’s installment of “Where in the world is…?” involves the 1,285-square-foot house in Los Angeles’ Venice area that is owned by actress Gretchen Mol, which she quietly purchased in 2005 for $1,505,000.
We realize that we have away from the blog for the last few days, mostly because of other, non-celebrity real estate writing projects like this one and this one. But now, we’re back in the saddle and eager to talk celebrity real estate. And we have a lot to catch up on!
Let’s start with the home of Mol, which has never been written about — to the best of our knowledge, at least — by any celebrity real estate gossip.
Built in 1914, Mol’s one-bedroom house has one bath, according to public records. The duplex sits on a minuscule 0.09-acre (3,790-square-foot) lot, with a separate, 300-square-foot structure on the property as well, according to public records. That separate structure was built in 1923, according to public records.
Records show that Mol and her husband, director Todd (sometimes also spelled Tod) “Kip” Williams, bought their home in August 2005 (deal recorded in September 2005) and put $505,000 down. Interestingly, that area of Venice has become something of a celebrity row. Mol’s house is just down the street a block from the 1,800-square-foot, Craftsman-style home of actor Elijah Wood, which Wood purchased from Grammy-nominated art director George Mimnaugh in October 2004 for $1,200,000, according to public records. And, Mol is just across Venice Boulevard from the 2,969-square-foot loft-style home of actress Olivia Wilde, which we profiled a few weeks back.

It has been reported that Orlando Bloom only has two homes (London, England and Los Angeles, California-USA). His home in the Brentwood Section of Los Angeles (O.J. Simpson use to live in the same neighborhood) is currently up for rent (asking price $18,000.00 per month) and the house number is 2227. I do not know the street , but I think that he spends most of his time in London, England because that was his first home and Bloom had a lot or remodeling done to it. Besides his mother and sister both resides in the London area. I think that he only brought a home in the U.S. was because he was working on a long movie here and other people had told him that New York and Hollywood are the places to be.Sounds like he regretted paying for a pricely house filled with ivys hanging everywhere outside in Los Angeles and now has it up for rent. The house is white cement or some kind of brick. I have seen pictures with his wife (don’t think this marriage will last because she was 2 months pregnant when he proposed to her and they jumped the broom the following month) pulling up the friveway alone. They apear to working very hard to poise for the cameras ans prove how happy they are, but didn’t Orlando do the same with all the others?

What I saw was a video of his wife pullling up in her car alone and getting out of the car. I saw the house number on this video and I think that the video is on youtubes or some other website. Hope this helps.
