Stylist Rachel Zoe lists her two-bedroom house in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills for $2.995M

Continuing with our pattern today of writing about properties that we have overlooked in the last few weeks, we’re weighing in on celebrity fashion stylist Rachel Zoe listing her two-bedroom house in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills for $2,995,000.

Kudos to our friends over at the Real Estalker for breaking the story a month ago of the listing of the 36-year-old Zoe’s house, at 1644 Rising Glen Road. Last Sunday, the Los Angeles Times’ Ruth Ryon wrote a lead item on Zoe’s listing as well, reporting that Zoe and her investment banker/entrepreneur husband hope to build their own house after they sell their place on Rising Glen.

Zoe and her husband paid $1,475,000 in January 2004 for the modern-style house, which was built in 1956. How large is the house? That depends upon whom you ask — public records state that it measures 2,545 square feet, while Ryon’s column and listing information report that the house contains 2,742 square feet. Features in the house include three baths, walnut floors, a convertible den/office, walls of glass, “exquisite surfaces throughout,” an open living room, a family room, a large master suite with a spacious walk-in closet, two fireplaces, a covered patio, a plunge pool, a spa and a fire pit, according to listing information and the Times. The house is just a block east of the famous (or infamous) ‘Bird Streets’ area of the Hollywood Hills.

The house undoubtedly has very clean lines. It’s a bit on the minimalist side, but it seems surprisingly live-able despite that fact.

We’ll keep you posted on if Zoe sells the house — and also, of course, to where she relocates.
