Ben Moody, who co-founded the band Evanescence before venturing out on his own in 2003, has paid $2,300,000 for a house in the Oaks area of Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighborhood.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the purchase by the 26-year-old Moody (pictured here with fellow Evanescence founder Amy Lee) of the house on Holly Oak Drive.
Built in 1965, Moody's new two-story house has four bedrooms and four baths, and sits on a 0.23-acre lot, according to public records.
Records show that Moody had purchased the house on July 12. The purchased closed on October 7.
This is not Moody's first home purchase in the Los Angeles area. He paid $590,000 in August 2004 to purchase a 2,138-square-foot town home in Los Angeles' Sherman Oaks area, according to public records. A Ben Moody also purchased a house in Calabasas, Calif. in late 2005 for $1,775,000, according to public records, but it's not 100 percent certain to us (although it's highly likely) that the house is owned by the same Ben Moody whom we're discussing here.
