Singer, songwriter, guitarist and longtime Big Time Listings fave Michelle Branch has sold her five-bedroom, 5,296-square-foot house in Calabasas, Calif. for $2,940,000.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Branch's sale of her house at 25551 Prado de las Flores in Calabasas, which she had purchased in 2005 for $2,881,500 through her Little Holmby Trust, according to public records. Branch, 24, listed the house late last year for close to $3.3 million, aswe wroteback on November 24, 2006.
Built in 2005, the Mediterranean-style house in Calabasas is in the town's gated 'The Oaks' development, where other celebs have owned property (Travis Barker,Nicole Murphy). Features in the one-story house include five and a half baths, a gourmet kitchen with a large center island and Viking appliances, a family room with a home theater system, rich wood floors, soaring beamed ceilings, mountain views, a courtyard and an outdoor fireplace, according to listing information. The house sits on a 0.61-acre parcel, according to public records. The sale closed on August 29 and was recorded on September 18, according to public records.
At the time the listed their house in Calabasas, Branch and her bass-player husband, Teddy Landau, were reported to have been selling because they were moving to Nashville. Indeed, our check of public records shows that the couple paid $290,000 through their Sunshine Trust in mid-2006 to purchase a condominium unit in the Lofts at Werthan Mills development in Nashville. In addition, Branch and Landau also own 2.545 acres of land at 8561 E. Old Field Road in Scottsdale, Ariz., which they purchased in 2005 for $950,000, according to public records.
