Singer Michelle Branch closes on a $1.35M house in the Belle Meade area of Nashville, TN

Singer and longtime Big Time Listings fave Michelle Branch has paid $1,350,000 for a house in the Belle Meade area of Nashville, Tenn. As part of our effort to get caught up on some items, we wanted to quickly write about Branch’s purchase of the four-bedroom, 3,200-square-foot house at 4415 Forsythe Place in Nashville. The news of her purchase first was reported on February 5 by the Nashville Post. And then, our friends over at the Real Estalker wrote a nice post on the purchase as well, on February 6. We had held off on weighing in on the matter, however, until the public records databases that we have access to were updated to reflect Branch’s purchase. Sure enough, they now confirm what had been first reported by the Post — that Branch’s Sunshine Trust paid $1,350,000 on January 9 for the Forsythe Place house. The deal was recorded on January 10. Built in 2003, Branch’s new house has four baths and sits on a 0.43-acre lot, according to public records. The news of Branch buying a single-family house in Nashville was hardly unexpected. In mid-2006, the singer paid $290,000 through her Sunshine Trust for a 1,360-square-foot condo unit in the Lofts at Wertham Mills development in Nashville, as we reported on November 7, 2006, and it had been reported that she would be building something bigger in Nashville. And, we figured it was high time she get herself back into a single-family house, since she sold her five-bedroom, 5,296-square-foot house at 25551 Prado de las Flores in Calabasas, Calif. on August 29. Branch’s Little Holmby Trust technically was the seller of the Calabasas house. Stay tuned for Branch’s next real-estate move. Our friends over at the Real Estalker recently noted that they’ve heard that Branch and her husband Teddy Landau may again be on the prowl for a house in Southern California.
