Rock producer Scott Humphrey has a deal to sell his house in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills, which has been listed for $2.695M
Rock ‘n’ roll producer Scott Humphrey appears to have a deal to sell his four-bedroom house — complete with a recording studio — in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills after listing it for $2,695,000.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Humphrey’s apparent deal; the house, billed a “celebrity compound” and located in Nichols Canyon, has been on the market since November 21.
We’ll see if the deal closes — and for what amount — but assuming that Humphrey gets anywhere near his asking price, that would be good news for anyone who is interested in moving real estate in the Hollywood Hills (as well as being good news for Humphrey himself!).
Built in 1991, the house (which measures either 4,348 square feet, according to public records, or 4,997 square feet, according to other public records) has expansive spaces, large scale rooms, zen gardens and loggias, according to listing information. The house also is home to Humphrey’s recording studio, known as the “Chop Shop,” and also has a screening room, a master suite with a lofty spa bath and an overflowing vessel tub, and three en-suite bedrooms with walk-in closets, according to listing information. Outdoor features on the 0.42-acre (18,295-square-foot) parcel include a waterfall, according to public records and listing information.
Records show that Humphrey, who is far from being a household name, owns the house through an LLC company, and that he purchased it in mid-2000 for $1,685,000. For reasons we can’t entirely understand, the house has one address in some of its public records, but a slightly different address in some other of its public records.

Humphrey is just the latest in a series of celebs in the Hollywood Hills who are reaching deals to sell their long-listed properties. The most notable one who recently struck a deal to sell is actress Khandi Alexander, who has had her four-bedroom house in the Hills on the market since listing it in February 2008 for $4,495,000. She later knocked its asking price all the way down to $2,995,000, and Alexander’s house now is in escrow, as our friends over at the Real Estalker first reported last week. Others who reportedly have reached deals to sell properties long on the market include actress Michelle Johnson and mega-brand Byron Allen.

The Citrus house is for her parent and her brother Todd and Jennifer live in the Gardner house. She is being a good daughter and sharing the wealth with the family.

What’s wrong with having a big house if you can afford it? Just because you live by yourself or with one other person instead of six doesn’t mean you should be in a smaller place; that doesn’t make any sense. People, by nature, need space.

Actually it wasn’t just two people. Nikki had three kids from a previous marriage who visited often and she had her son who lived with her, plus their had a child together. So they needed more than enough room.
