Rapper Bow Wow quietly sells his four-bedroom, ranch-style house in Duluth, GA for $850K — two years after it had been listed for $1.5M! — to Atlanta Braves pitcher Kenshin Kawakami
Rapper Bow Wow has thrown in the towel on his four-bedroom, ranch-style house in Duluth, Ga. — which he had listed more than two years ago for $1,500,000 — quietly selling it in April for $850,000
to Atlanta Braves pitcher Kenshin Kawakami.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Bow Wow’s sale of
– and the identity of the buyer of — his house in the Sugarloaf area
of Duluth. Back in May 2007, we reported
on the diminutive, 22-year-old rapper’s listing of his house. After
languishing for almost two years, finally, on April 17 (deal recorded
April 21), Bow Wow — whose real name is Shad Moss and who previously
was known on stage as “Lil’ Bow Wow” — unloaded the house to Kawakami
for just $850,000, according to public records.

Of course, $850,000 is a lot of money to most Americans (including
us!). However, we wrote “just $850,000″ in the paragraph above
because Moss took a major loss on the house in selling it at his
chosen price point; he had paid $950,000 for it in March 2006,
according to public records.
Built in 1998, the hardcoat stucco house has a fully finished terrace
level with three additional bedrooms and a family room, a theater, a
study, a brand-new kitchen, and a large pool, according to listing
information. Bow Wow also spent $350,000 in upgrades, according to
listing information. The house sits on a 0.57-acre lot, according to
public records.
