Radio’s Gregg “Opie” Hughes pays $3,350,000 for 40th-floor apartment in Manhattan’s Trump Place
Gregg “Opie” Hughes, half of the satellite-radio duo “Opie and Anthony,” has paid $3,350,000 for a 2,088-square-foot condominium unit in the Trump Place development on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

Kudos to the New York Observer for reporting today on Hughes’ purchase of the 40th-floor unit in the 46-story building at 200 Riverside Drive in New York, which was built in 1999. Public records show that the couple who sold the condo to Hughes didn’t make much of a profit on the sale, given that they had paid $3,250,000 for the unit in June 2006.
On the deed, Hughes, 43, listed an address at 53 West 71st Street in Manhattan. However, previous public records indicate that the shock-jock as recently as last year owned a 27th-floor co-op unit in the 30-story Oliver Cromwell building, which is at 12 W 72nd Street, between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West. Recall that TV anchor Stone Phillips recently sold his triplex penthouse co-op in the Oliver Cromwell building, as we reported on May 29.
