Back in October, our friends over at the Real Estalker wrote a nice post about Cray selling his house. They followed that up last month with a post -- which interestingly was a response to our "Which celebrity's house is this?" feature -- with the news that they believed that actor Jason Lee had purchased Cray's house in Los Feliz (although property records at that time did not yet show evidence of that).

Now, we can report that property records now do show that Cray has sold the three-bedroom house, at 5745 Hill Oak Drive in The Oaks area of Los Feliz. The sale closed on October 31 and was recorded on November 21, according to public records. It's also impressive that Cray sold the house for $100,000 above its asking price of $3,250,000.

So was the buyer Jason Lee? We can't say with 100% certainty, but we're hard-pressed to doubt the Real Estalker's sources. Plus, we would note that the buyer of 5745 Hill Oak Drive is something called the Hill Oak Trust, and the trustee/money manager whose name appears on that deed is Kevin Burke. We have written about Kevin Burke several times in the past, having noted that he has represented a wide range of celebrities, including Catherine Bell and Beck. State incorporation records also show that Burke has represented Lee before, most recently as the contact person for Lee's Niva Films company. So the contact person fits. We would also note that the Real Estalker previously had fingered Lee as the buyer of the house at 4207 Dundee Road in Los Feliz, which we wrote about back on November 21 and which also was purchased by a trust administered/managed by Burke.

Built in 1948, the Hill Oak Drive house is a "one-story European"-style house, with two and a half baths and a living room with beamed ceilings, hardwood floors and an Arizona flagstone fireplace, according to public records and listing information. Other features include a dining room with an adjacent patio, a kitchen with a Viking range and a SubZero refrigerator, a separate office/guesthouse, a secret garden with a spa, a rear patio with a fireplace and a barbecue area, a wine cellar, and a large driveway with room for eight cars, according to listing information. The 1.412-acre property has a pool and views of the Griffith Observatory, according to listing information.
