Public records have cleared on the amount paid for the one-story, 13,149-square-foot mansion in Beverly Hills, Calif. that David Beckham and his wife Victoria/Posh Spice, purchased on April 21, and they reveal that the celebrity power couple paid $18,200,000 for the newly built home, and not the $22,000,000 amount that has been reported everywhere.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the exact amount that “Posh” and “Becks” paid for the six-bedroom mansion at 1105 San Ysidro Drive in Beverly Hills. Los Angeles County records released yesterday show that the couple paid far less (17% less, to be exact) than the $22 million asking price for the property.

As such, it’s pretty clear that when the Los Angeles Times’ Ruth Ryon wrote on May 6 that the couple had purchased the home “at its list price of $22 million,” she was deeply misinformed. We’d love to know where she got this misinformation.

As we first reported on June 12, the Beckhams purchased their home through their Hazelhurst Trust. We assume that the trust name came from the first house that David Beckham ever purchased in the U.K., which was a four-bedroom house located on Hazlehurst Road (note the different spelling) at Worsley in Greater Manchester, England.

Features in the Beckhams’ H-shaped, Italian villa-style mansion include nine bathrooms and a swimming pool, all behind iron gates and at the end of a private drive. The approximately 1.25-acre parcel has city and ocean views.
