Natalie Portman lists house in Sea Cliff, N.Y. for $2.2M

Actress Natalie Portman has placed her small house in Long Island on the market for $2,200,000.

The New York Post’s fine celebrity real estate columnist Braden Keil today broke the story of Portman listing the house in Sea Cliff, N.Y. Portman paid $1,375,000 in October 2002 through her Sea Cliff Real Property Trust for the 2,088-square-foot shingled house at 35 Bay Avenue in Sea Cliff, according to public records. Built in 1952, the totally redone, shingled ranch-style house has two and a half baths, harbor views from almost every room, along with wood floors, sunny rooms, many windows, and several decks, according to listing information.

With this sale, Portman now will live full-time in the Richard Meier-designed tower at 165 Charles Street in Manhattan’s West Village, which was completed in 2005. Portman purchased her unit in that building in August 2005 through her Sea Cliff Real Property Trust for $5,804,025, according to public records.
