Musician and onetime ABC 'Bachelor' Bob Guiney and soap opera actress wife Rebecca Budig sell house in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills East neighborhood to her parents for $1,110,500
Musician Bob Guiney, who in the fall of 2003 starred in season four of ABC’s ‘The Bachelor,’ and his soap opera actress wife Rebecca Budig have sold their 1,384-square-foot house in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills East neighborhood to Budig’s parents for $1,110,500, according to public records.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the sale of the two-bedroom house on Lindo Street, which was built in 1936 and which is just a ways northwest of the Hollywood Reservoir, according to public records.
In an interesting twist, Guiney and Budig only purchased the house in October 2006 for $1,076,000, according to public records. It’s unclear why they turned around and sold the house to Budig’s parents so quickly after buying it, but public records suggest that a two-sale process had been the plan all along, possibly for financial or career-related reasons. Given Guiney’s budding music career, the house probably is a part-time or a full-time residence for Budig’s parents, and it’s also probably a decent crash pad for Guiney and Budig when they’re in L.A. Guiney’s website states that he is ‘splitting’ time between New York and Los Angeles.
The house has two baths and sits on a very small, 0.11-acre lot, according to public records.
The house and the neighborhood have had no shortage of celebrity power. Guiney and Budig had purchased the house last fall from soap opera actor Greg Rikaart, who is a regular on ‘The Young and the Restless.’ Rikaart had purchased the house in 2004 for $895,000, according to public records. Rikaart now lives literally next door, having paid $865,000 last fall for the house that’s immediately west of the place he sold to Guiney and Budig, according to public records.

The Citrus house is for her parent and her brother Todd and Jennifer live in the Gardner house. She is being a good daughter and sharing the wealth with the family.

What’s wrong with having a big house if you can afford it? Just because you live by yourself or with one other person instead of six doesn’t mean you should be in a smaller place; that doesn’t make any sense. People, by nature, need space.

Actually it wasn’t just two people. Nikki had three kids from a previous marriage who visited often and she had her son who lived with her, plus their had a child together. So they needed more than enough room.
