Matthew Perry Unloads Contemporary in Hollywood Hills West, Still Owns Plenty of Other Homes
Actor Matthew Perry last month sold a 4,100-square-foot, contemporary-style home in the Hollywood Hills West area of Los Angeles for $4.685 million.
Flush with “Friends” money, Perry has been buying and selling L.A.-area homes for the last half-decade or more. He bought this house, which was built in 1955 and sits on just a 0.34-acre lot, in 2008 for $4.475 million, or just a small amount less than the amount he fetched last month.
Listing information characterized the three-bedroom home with a host of platitudes, describing it as “sleek and sophisticated,” “architectural” and “bold yet refined.” We’d simply label it as “contemporary,” and note that some of its more intriguing features include its white terrazzo floors, its disappearing walls of glass, its indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and its canyon views of protected hillside. Other features include 3-1/2 baths, a gourmet kitchen, a patio and a pool.
Perry once wanted as much as $5.695 million for the home.
So what else does Perry own? His buying and selling over the past half-dozen years or more has been dizzying. He currently owns a 3,677-square-foot home in Malibu that he bought in 2005 for $6.55 million (and not long ago had on the market for a whopping $13.5 million), and he also owns a 3,821-square-foot home in Los Angeles’ West Hollywood neighborhood that he bought in 2011 for $8.5 million.
Also, as Big Time Listings exclusively (http://www.bergproperties.com/blog/actor-matthew-perry-pays-883k-for-a-1701-square-foot-house-in-los-angeles%E2%80%99-studio-city-area/) reported back in 2008, he paid $883,000 for a 1,701-square-foot house in Los Angeles’ Studio City area.
