Public records have cleared on the sale of talk-show host Larry King’s longtime, 6,995-square-foot house in the flats of Beverly Hills, Calif., and they reveal that the talker and his actress-singer wife Shawn Southwick, sold the house for $7,140,000.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the sale price of the house at 628 N. Canon Drive, which the couple sold on April 24 after it had been listed for $7,250,000.

King and Southwick sold the home because they paid $11,750,000 on February 5 to buy a five-bedroom, 9,596-square-foot Tuscan-style house at 707 N. Hillcrest Road in Beverly Hills that had been listed for $11,995,000, according to public records.

Built in 1982, King’s former Beverly Hills house on Canon Drive sits on a 0.45-acre parcel. He purchased it for an undisclosed amount in 1998 (reported at the time in the Los Angeles Times to be “slightly more than $3 million”) through his Canon Drive Property Trust, according to public records.

The Kings’ new house was built in 1989 and has nine baths, a gated tile roof from a 200-year-old Italian monastery, a two-bedroom guesthouse, a skylit foyer, a master suite with a sitting room and twin bathrooms, and a plasma TV, all on a half-acre lot, according to public records, the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal.
