Retired model, fashion designer and occasional actress Kimora Lee Simmons has sold the five-bedroom, 5,818-square-foot house in Beverly Hills, Calif. that she once shared with her soon-to-be-ex-husband Russell Simmons for $5,655,000.
We can provide some details on Simmons' sale of the house, which she had listed earlier this year for $5.8 million. Our friends over at the Real Estalker reported on August 15 that they had 'heard through the grapevine' that the house had sold, and then on August 31 that the house had closed recently. We can now build on that by providing updated information on the house's sale price and by noting that the sale actually closed back on July 12 and was recorded on August 24. Public records show that the buyers are a married couple from the San Fernando Valley who are not celebrities.
Back on May 20, we reported on the then-still-together Russell and Kimora listing the house, which is at 1501 N. Doheny Drive in Beverly Hills. The couple had purchased the house in 2005 for $5,250,000, according to public records. (As part of the divorce settlement, Russell Simmons quit-claimed his interest in the house to Kimora Lee in June, records show.)
And then of course, on August 18, we followed up the Real Estalker's terrific scoop about the newly liberated Kimora Lee's new home in Beverly Hills by writing a post of our own about her new seven-bedroom, 5,923-square-foot Beverly Hills house, which she purchased on June 21 for an undisclosed price (it had been listed for $5.9 million) and which is next door to Jessica Simpson's house.
