Kimora Lee Simmons places her five-bedroom house in Beverly Hills, CA back on the market for $7.75M, less than a year after buying it

Retired model, fashion designer and occasional actress Kimora Lee Simmons has placed her five-bedroom house in Beverly Hills, Calif. on the market for $7,750,000—less than a year after purchasing it. Our friends over at the Real Estalker broke the fine story yesterday of Simmons’ listing on June 3 of the country-style house, which is at 9551 Lime Orchard Road in Beverly Hills. Not long afterward, the Los Angeles Times’ Ann Brenoff posted an item online about the listing. As we wrote in several posts last year, Simmons paid the $5,900,000 asking price on June 21, 2007 to purchase the 5,923-square-foot house, which is next door to singer Jessica Simpson’s home.

Built in 1974, the house that Simmons is selling has eight baths, a gated courtyard, a two-story entryway, a formal living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room with a wet bar, a brand-new gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, dark hardwood floors, leaded glass windows, wainscoting, and a swimming pool, according to listing information. Simmons also is still in the process of trying to sell her 10-bedroom, 35,000-square-foot mansion on 3.96 acres at 101 Fox Hedge Road in Saddle River, N.J., which now sits on the market for $19,888,000. Simmons and ex-husband Russell Simmons had purchased that house in 2001 for $13,500,000, according to public records. Other property that Kimora owns or co-owns include a parcel at 2 Country Lane in East Hampton, N.Y., which she purchased in early 2003 for $690,000; a condominium unit at 404 E. 76th Street in Manhattan that she purchased in 2003 for $738,232; and property at 20 Jericho Close Road in East Hampton, N.Y. that Kimora appears to still co-own with Russell, according to public records.
