Howard Stern’s new mansion in Southampton, N.Y. will have more than 16,000 square feet, eight bedrooms, a 1,500-square-foot master bedroom and a wine cellar with a tasting room
The mansion that shock jock Howard Stern is building on Squabble Lane in Southampton, N.Y. will be massive in size–even by celebrity standards–measuring more than 16,000 square feet, the New York Post is reporting today.
The Post’s Braden Keil reports that plans for Stern’s three-level, custom-built oceanfront mansion show that it will contain eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a great room, a media room, an attached cabana, a bowling alley, a wine cellar with a tasting room, a 1,500-square-foot master bedroom with a private balcony, an office/study, and his-and-hers baths with separate dressing rooms. Outdoor features on the 4-acre property will include a seaside pool, a spa and a stone wall around the house.
Stern’s spread should be finished later this year. Until that time, he’s renting a six-bedroom house at 2080 Meadow Lane in Southampton, which was designed by architect Norman Jaffe and was custom-built by David Webb, according to public records and listing information. Stern also continues to also own a 54th-floor unit in the Millennium Tower building at 101 W. 67th Street in Manhattan, where he paid a reported $5.9 million in 1998 for a 4,000-square-foot condo.
