House in Los Angeles' Tarzana area that actor Wilmer Valderrama once owned — but no longer owns — is back on the market, for $1.895M
A five-bedroom, 4,822-square-foot house in Los Angeles’ Tarzana area that actor Wilmer Valderrama had owned until selling it in early 2008 for $1,750,000 is back on the market for $1,895,000.
The normally thorough folks over at Blockshopper.com dropped the ball on Wednesday in their report on this listing, incorrectly identifying Valderrama as still being the house’s owner.
He isn’t.
And Blockshopper itself should know this, seeing as how they themselves wrote a post back in January 2008 on Valderrama actually selling this house! (In case you’re wondering, the two Blockshopper posts were not written by the same author.) We also wrote about Valderrama’s sale of the house in early 2008 as well; it appears that we incorrectly had credited ourselves with a scoop on this item in early ’08 when Blockshopper actually apparently had beaten us to the punch.
In any case, the house at 5441 Calvin has no shortage of cool features. It’s unclear to us, however, if in the past 18 months a significant amount of work has been done on the house by its current owner (who is not a celebrity). We would assume so, given not only the higher listing price than Valderrama’s early ’08 sale price, but also the fact that Valderrama’s listing sheet in early ’08 referred to the fact that the house needed “updating” and that some updating appears to have been done.
Built in 1974, the house has seven baths, an oversized entry with beveled and leaded glass windows, a dramatic, open floor plan with walnut and oak plank floors and rich moldings, and a living room with vaulted beamed ceilings, leaded glass windows and a brick fireplace with a mantel, according to public records and listing information. Other features include a family room with a fireplace and a French door, a den with a fireplace, bookcases and a wet bar, a large formal dining room with a chandelier, and a gourmet kitchen with granite counters, a bay window, a Thermador professional range, a pantry and a breakfast room that has a French door for outside access, according to listing information. The house also has a designer wood staircase with stacked stone detailing, and a master suite with his and hers baths, a steam room and customized closets, according to listing information. Outdoor features on the 0.54-acre (23,326-square-foot) property include a full guest house, a pool, a spa, a north-south tennis court, a fire pit, flagstone patios and lush lawns, according to public records and listing information.
Valderrama — who again, for the record, is no longer the owner of this property, paid $1,250,000 to purchase this property in 2003.
Where does Valderrama live? Records show that he owns a 5,039-square-foot house elsewhere in Tarzana, which he purchased in 2005 from Chuck Norris for $3,525,000, according to public records. He also paid $995,000 in 2007 to purchase a unit in the Broadway Hollywood building in Los Angeles’ Hollywood area, according to public records. We wrote a post on the purchase in early 2008, but at that time were not privy to the exact amount that Valderrama had paid. Now, we can reveal that exact amount for the first time that the actor paid for his Broadway Hollywood unit.
Valderrama also owns several other properties in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley, according to public records.

With foreign investors from the Middle east,China and other non-speaking “English” countries. They fly over buy up real estate,,tear down then flip it for a profit.,,Hollywood isnt what it used to be when I first stepped into this former glitz city.
