House in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills neighborhood that John Lennon once lived in is listed for $4.5M
A five-bedroom house in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills area that John Lennon once lived in has come on the market for $4,500,000.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the listing of the 4,520-square-foot house at 8818 Thrasher Avenue in the Bird Streets area of the Hollywood Hills. The house came on the market on Tuesday, March 24.
Built in 1965, the contemporary-style villa has four baths, a step-down living room that flows into a formal dining room, a great room, a master suite with walk-in closets and a bath with a steam shower, and a kitchen with a center island, custom cabinets, glass tile, marble countertops, and stainless steel appliances, according to public records and listing information. Outdoor features on the incredibly oddly shaped, 0.31-acre (13,295-square-foot) lot are a fountained pool and spa, patios, lush greenery, city views, a grassy yard and a private walking path, according to public records and listing information.
Lennon lived in the house for a time in the mid-1970s. The house previously had been on the market in 2006 for $4,950,000.
Listing information points out that many celebrities live in the neighborhood, and they’re not kidding. Celebs who have owned or currently own in the neighborhood include (but are not limited to) Courteney Cox (who sold the house at 8936 Thrasher in 2004), Megan Mullally, Tobey Maguire (who sold his mansion at 9000 Thrasher Avenue in early 2007), Keanu Reaves, Rachel Zoe (who sold her house at 1644 Rising Glen Road last year for exactly $2,500,000), and Simon Fuller.

The Citrus house is for her parent and her brother Todd and Jennifer live in the Gardner house. She is being a good daughter and sharing the wealth with the family.

What’s wrong with having a big house if you can afford it? Just because you live by yourself or with one other person instead of six doesn’t mean you should be in a smaller place; that doesn’t make any sense. People, by nature, need space.

Actually it wasn’t just two people. Nikki had three kids from a previous marriage who visited often and she had her son who lived with her, plus their had a child together. So they needed more than enough room.
