Hilary Duff pays $3.85M for a house in the Summit, high above Beverly Hills, CA
Young actress and singer Hilary Duff has paid $3,850,000 for a five-bedroom, 5,260-square-foot Georgian Colonial-style house in the once-and-again-celebrity-filled Summit neighborhood in Los Angeles County, high above Beverly Hills.
As plenty of others have reported recently, the recently engaged Duff, 22, made the purchase several weeks ago through money manager Scott Feinstein and through her The Maison de Trust trust.
Built in 1987 — yes, the year of Duff’s birth — her new house has six and a half baths and sits on a 0.35-acre parcel of land that is…..literally right next door to Britney Spears’ house. Features include audio/video systems, integrated iPod stations throughout the house (say what?), French doors, a grand two-story entrance, a chef’s kitchen with an eat-in breakfast area, a large family room with a wet bar and a fireplace, four oversized en-suite guest bedrooms with Carrara marble baths, and a master suite with his-and-hers bathrooms and walk-in closets, according to listing information.

The Citrus house is for her parent and her brother Todd and Jennifer live in the Gardner house. She is being a good daughter and sharing the wealth with the family.

What’s wrong with having a big house if you can afford it? Just because you live by yourself or with one other person instead of six doesn’t mean you should be in a smaller place; that doesn’t make any sense. People, by nature, need space.

Actually it wasn’t just two people. Nikki had three kids from a previous marriage who visited often and she had her son who lived with her, plus their had a child together. So they needed more than enough room.
