Billy Howerdel, a guitarist and songwriter who founded and played in the alternative band A Perfect Circle, has sold his four-bedroom house in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills for $1,875,000.

 

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the sale by Howerdel’s Lugano Trust of the house at 3321 Lugano Place. We had exclusively reported back on August 5 about Howerdel’s listing of the 3,899-square-foot house. Now, records show that Howerdel quietly sold the Lugano Place house on January 16. The deal was recorded on February 15.

Howerdel, 37, purchased the house new in late 2000 for $935,000, according to public records. “Perched on a cul-de-sac below (the) Hollywood sign,” according to listing information, the house has four baths, traditional details, high ceilings, city views, a “baronial” living room, a gourmet kitchen, a large dining room, and dark hardwood floors, according to listing information. Somewhat fitting is the fact that the house contains a professional music studio where top musicians have recorded, according to listing information. Other features include an outdoor gourmet alfresco kitchen, patios, lush landscaping, video security and an elevator, according to listing information. The house sits on a 0.21-acre lot, according to public records. The house had been listed for $2,495,000 and later was reduced to $1,995,000, according to listing information.
