Former TV journalist Forrest Sawyer has paid $3,810,000 for a condominium unit on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

The New York Post’s fine celebrity real estate journalist Braden Keil broke the story today of Sawyer’s recent purchase of the unit in the building at 230 Riverside Drive, which only was recorded on Tuesday. However, the contract was agreed to on May 21, and the sale closed on September 17, according to public records.

Sawyer, 58, left NBC / MSNBC in 2005 and now runs a documentary company.

Oddly, Sawyer’s New York purchase deed reveals two other addresses: one, in Montecito, Calif., is for a property that belongs to Elizabeth Cox Stone (director Oliver Stone’s ex-wife). The other is in Covington, La.

Features in Stone’s new pad, which is a combination of two existing apartments in the renovated prewar building, include three bedrooms, three and a half baths, a library and a terrace, the Post reported.
