07-188781.jpg07-188781-21.jpg In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the recent sale of the house at 8850 Evanview Drive in the Hollywood Hills, which closed on July 16 and which was just recorded with Los Angeles County on September 28. We wrote about the house back on July 29. Built in 1941, the 4,999-square-foot house has five bedrooms, according to listing information, or seven bedrooms, according to public records. Other features in the house include seven and a half baths, public rooms with city views, maple floors, French doors, a large family room, a formal dining room, a library and a media room. Outside are a guest house, a pool, gardens and patios, all on a 0.3-acre lot, according to public records and listing information. Garland and Minnelli owned the house from 1944 to 1948, and Davis owned it in the 1960s. The house first was listed two years ago for $4,995,000, and later was reduced to $3,695,000, then to $3,495,000, and then to $3,295,000. Its seller, who owns Blueprint Furniture, had paid $500,000 in 1995 to buy the house, according to public records. Our friends over at Curbed wrote about the house just over a year ago.
