Five for Fighting's John Ondrasik lists his 4,078-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Encino area for $1.299M
Five for Fighting’s John Ondrasik has placed his one-story, 4,078-square-foot house in Los Angeles’ Encino area on the market for $1,299,000.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the rocker’s listing of his four-bedroom house in Encino’s Amestoy Estates area, which was listed on April 7. Ondrasik has owned the house since purchasing it in early 2001 for $791,000, according to public records.
Built in 1921, Ondrasik’s house has four baths, hardwood floors, a formal dining room, plant shutters, four fireplaces, a step-down family room, a master suite with French doors, and a fourth bedroom that is used as an office/den, according to public records and listing information. Outdoor features on the gated property include a pool, a covered patio with a built-in barbecue, a large lawn and a private brick patio with a spa, according to listing information. It’s a little unclear to us how big the property is. Listing information says it’s approximately an acre, but public records say the property measures only 45/100 of an acre (19,554 square feet). So who knows for sure.
The house has had drama occur at it over the years. Back in July 2004, a burglar stabbed Ondrasik’s housesitter more than a dozen times. The crime wound up being an inside job, however; the culprit turned out to be a fellow who has having an affair with the wife of Ondrasik’s housesitter. Ondrasik had been in Las Vegas at the time of the incident.
We have no idea why Ondrasik, who is a southern California native, is moving on. We’ll keep you posted on where he ends up, and if this house sells (and also, for how much). Stay tuned.

The Citrus house is for her parent and her brother Todd and Jennifer live in the Gardner house. She is being a good daughter and sharing the wealth with the family.

What’s wrong with having a big house if you can afford it? Just because you live by yourself or with one other person instead of six doesn’t mean you should be in a smaller place; that doesn’t make any sense. People, by nature, need space.

Actually it wasn’t just two people. Nikki had three kids from a previous marriage who visited often and she had her son who lived with her, plus their had a child together. So they needed more than enough room.
