In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Knoxville’s sale of the 2,946-square-foot house at 2481 Hollyridge Drive in the Hills. Records show that Knoxville, whose real name is Philip Clapp, sold the house on August 7, with the deal being recorded on September 26. The buyer is not a celebrity.

Back on July 28, we exclusively had reported on Knoxville’s listing of the house, which is at 2481 Hollyridge Drive in the Hills. We assume that Knoxville sold the house as part of the divorce that he has been going through, although we don’t know that for sure.

In something of a shocker, Knoxville sold the house for *above* his $1,695,000 asking price.

Built in 1924, the house has three baths, a great room with a vaulted ceiling and arches, a large circular dining room, a redone kitchen with honed marble counters and stainless steel appliances, and a large master suite with a fireplace and an “Ann Sacks”-style bath with a steam shower, according to public records and listing information. Other features include a media room, and a second bedroom/office with an en suite bath, according to listing information. Outdoor features on the gated, 0.21-acre, street-to-street property include a courtyard setting, a grassy yard with gardens, and a large pool, according to public records and listing information.

Knoxville purchased the house in August 2001 for $943,500, according to public records. Check out an online listing sheet for the house – complete with photos.

For now, at least, Knoxville continues to own another 3,744-square-foot house in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills. We’ll keep you posted on any changes to the status of that home.

News of the purchase, which appears to have been made through a company called Artifact Properties LLC, surfaced last month as pictures from a massive and incredibly cheesy photoshoot of Brody and his actress girlfriend, Elsa Pataky, began appearing in glossy celebrity magazines. As such, we’re nowhere the first to write about this. However, we thought readers might be interested in seeing the photos of the restored, four-story 19th-century chateau, which is known as the Stone Barn Castle and which Brody had designer Giorgio Armani help him redecorate.

The property previously was used as a farm museum before Brody purchased and restored it (called, fittingly enough, the Stone Barn Castle Farm Museum).

Unfortunately, the public records databases that we have access to only have assessment records for Oneida County and not deed records, so we’ll have to take others’ word that the $650,000 transaction really did take place last year.

The latest Cage-owned property to fall victim to his fickleness is the 24,664-square-foot Gray Craig mansion on 26.77 acres in Middletown, R.I., which the Oscar-winning actor purchased last year for $15,700,000 and which he now has back on the market for $15,900,000. Many of our respected peers have already written about this quick flip, but we wanted to write about it before too much time elapses.

We wrote about Cage’s purchase of this 12-bedroom brick and stone country manor-style mansion back on August 2, 2007, when we wrote of his having purchased it for $15,700,000. Last month, word got out that Cage had turned around and listed the house, with useful reports on the listing by the Real Estalker, the Boston Globe, and the Providence Journal blog of our journalism school pal Kate Bramson. of our journalism school pal Kate Bramson.

Built between 1924 and 1926, the mansion, at 75 Gray Craig Road in Middletown, has 10 full baths, three half baths, a library with a soaring barrel-vaulted ceiling, a billiard room, a grand hallway with a sweeping staircase, a formal living room, a gym, and a conservatory, according to public records and listing information. Outdoor features on the property include a pool, a tennis court, a fish pond with a fountain, a stone terrace with an outdoor fireplace, heated garages, an enclosed courtyard, and terraced lawns, according to listing information.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the purchase by Quinto, who also will be playing a young Spock in the new “Star Trek” film, due out in 2009. Records show that Quinto, 31, purchased the three-bedroom house on May 5, with the deal being recorded on June 20.

Built in 1948, Quinto’s new house has two baths and had been listed for $837,500. The house sits on a very small, 0.15-acre (6,599-square-foot) lot, according to public records.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the amount that Macdonald, 45, paid through his trust on May 22 for the unit (with the deal being recorded on June 13). We had written about Macdonald’s purchase back on July 30, but did so not knowing his exact purchase price; the Los Angeles Times’ Ann Brenoff, who previously had broken the story of the purchase, had reported that Macdonald had paid $1.8 million for the unit.

The unit, which had been listed for $1,895,000, has either 1,630 square feet, according to public records, or 2,000 square feet, according to listing information. Features include two baths, walls of glass, white concrete floors, two large terraces, and 14-foot-high ceilings, according to listing information.

Macdonald continues to own a third-floor, 1,680-square-foot condo unit in Beverly Hills, Calif., which he purchased in late 2002 for an undisclosed amount.

We know we’re incredibly late to the party on this one, but it’s hard to resist writing about someone as dynamic and noteworthy as Favre.

The whole world knows that Favre (shown here in “There’s Something About Mary”) retired from the Packers on March 4, and then un-retired on August 4, getting himself traded by the Packers to the currently 7-3 New York Jets. And while Favre has not purchased a New York-area home yet (and at age 39, may never), he has decided to sever all ties with Green Bay, listing his modestly priced house in the Green Bay suburb.

Many news outlets and blogs have written about Favre’s listing, but for our money, the Green Bay Press-Gazette wrote one of the finer synopses, last month. Features in the 2,928-square-foot ranch-style house include three baths, a first-floor laundry, a formal dining room with a fireplace and a wet bar, an eat-in kitchen with granite countertops, and an attached, three-car garage, according to public records and listing information. Favre’s house sits on a 0.42-acre (18,295-square-foot) property, according to public records.

Records show that Favre paid $416,000 in August 2005 to purchase the house from a salesman for a company that sells forklift assemblies to auto recyclers.

Favre’s principal residence continues to be his 450-acre-plus farm in Hattiesburg, Miss.

We’re a little late to the party on the L.A. piece of this story, but given that we had broken the news back on July 7 of Brand having re-listed his Hollywood Hills house, we didn’t want to let too much time go by before writing about his unloading of the house. The Los Angeles Times’ Ann Brenoff was the first to write on October 7 about Brand’s sale of the walled and gated house at 8412 Carlton Way in the Hollywood Hills, which Brand had had on and off the market for two years.

Indeed, public records show that Brand sold the house on August 25, with the deal being recorded on October 3. That means that Brenoff, who pulled her information on the sale from the MLS, wrote about the sale just four days after it was recorded. The buyer, who is not a celebrity, is a talent agent.

Built in 2003, the house has concrete, stone, stucco, glass and wood finishes throughout, along with three and a half baths, 20-foot ceilings, floating wall sections, Brazilian walnut floors, suspended staircases and two fireplaces, according to public records and listing information. Outside on the tiny, 0.15-acre lot are city views, a pool and garage spaces for five vehicles, according to public records and listing information. Brand purchased the house in early 2004 for $3,500,000, according to public records.

Brand, who on July 9 signed a five-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, recently paid $3,350,000 for a six-bedroom stone mansion on 4.37 acres in Gladwyne, Pa., according to public records and according to a September 30 article in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Brand’s new, English Cotswold manor-style house was used in the 1990 shooting of the movie “Rocky V.” He closed on that 8,992-square-foot house on August 12, with the deal being recorded on September 17, according to public records.

Built in 1926, Brand’s new house has six full baths, three half baths, “an array of deep-silled windows,” a newly renovated gourmet chef’s kitchen and breakfast room with furniture-style Plato cabinetry, a library, nine skylights and a gas fireplace, according to public records and listing information. Other features include a guest suite with a kitchen and a large living room, and views of the Schuylkill Valley, according to listing information. The property is bounded on three sides by the Philadelphia Country Club.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the amount that DeVito, who turned 64 yesterday, and Perlman, 60, got for the 1,837-square-foot unit. We exclusively had reported on the unit’s sale back on July 3. DeVito and Perlman are shown here with Kristin Davis, Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Records show that the entertainment power couple sold the unit, at 4774 Park Encino Lane in Encino, on May 13, with the deal being recorded on May 22. We still don’t know how DeVito and Perlman, who own a spread in Beverly Hills that they long have been trying to sell, used this condo, although it most likely was a form of compensation for a member of their staff — either that, or a unit used by a family member. They purchased the unit in 1998 for $350,000.

Features in the third-floor penthouse condo include two baths and a sun-filled living room with cathedral ceilings and clerestory windows, according to listing information. The unit also has a large eat-in kitchen with a laundry room, a master suite with a walk-in closet and bath, clerestory windows in the master bedroom, and balconies, according to listing information.

Public records show that Wilde, 24, and her husband purchased their 2,969-square-foot loft for an undisclosed price — new — in late 2003. Although no purchase price is available in the public records databases that we have access to, we would assume that they paid in the $1,000,000 range for the loft. Records show that the loft sits on a minuscule, 0.04-acre (1,917-square-foot) lot in a commercially zoned neighborhood, and that it backs up to a condominium building. The loft is eight to 10 blocks from the Pacific Ocean.

Wilde recently gave a lengthy interview with Women’s Health magazine in which the loft was discussed. The magazine described Wilde and her husband’s Venice loft as being “bohemian” and being “crammed with oversize abstract art, ethnic furniture, and cookbooks scarred with food stains.”

Wilde also recently sang the praises of Venice to the Los Angeles Times, saying, “I love it! What a great town.”

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can provide the exact purchase price for the couple’s latest acquisition, which the couple purchased through a Nashville-based trust back on May 12 (deal wasn’t recorded until June 24). However, the precise amount they paid for the three-bedroom house just became available in public records not long ago.

Back on July 1, we wrote about the couple’s purchase of the house, prompted by the Los Angeles Times’ Ann Brenoff’s piece that ran online the day before. The house first had been on the market for $5,450,000, and later had been listed for $4,950,000.

Built in 1958, the couple’s new house has three and a half baths and sits on a gated and wooded, 0.56-acre parcel wedged between the Pacific Coast Highway and hte ocean, with beach access (but not directly on the ocean), according to public records. Features include a master bedroom with hardwood floors and an outdoor patio with a fireplace, Brenoff noted. One of their neighbors is hockey legend Chris Chelios (still going strong in the NHL at age 46!), who in 2003 paid exactly $6,000,000 for the 3,795-square-foot oceanfront house immediately south, according to public records.

As we noted back on July 1, Brooks and Yearwood also own a 2,400-acre ranch in Owasso, Oklahoma, while Brooks continues to own a 5,551-square-foot house on 19.8 acres in Goodlettsville, Tenn., which he purchased in 1991 for $435,000 from former Nashville Mayor Richard Fulton, according to public records. Finally, Brooks also owns some scattered properties in Tulsa County and Oklahoma County in Oklahoma, according to public records.
