Extra, extra (not really); three of the five items in tomorrow’s “Hot Property” column in the LA Times already have appeared here at Big Time Listings, including actor John O’Hurley listing his Beverly Hills, CA home, comedy director/creator James Burrows quietly selling his house in Los Angeles’ Bel-Air area and Madonna’s former Beverly Hills home being on the market for $17.5M

Big Time Listings readers may be forgiven for feeling a sense of deja vu if they read today’s “Hot Property” column in the Los Angeles Times. No fewer than three of columnist Ruth Ryon’s five items in tomorrow’s column are items that previously have appeared here on our blog (her items of course appear without any attribution — that goes without saying with the “Hot Property” column). The three items are: –Her lead item, about actor John O’Hurley listing his house in Beverly Hills, Calif. for $6,200,000. We of course wrote about O’Hurley’s listing back on September 11. We were hardly the first to write about that story, but still and all, it appeared here 19 days before it wound up in the “Hot Property” column. –Her second item, about prolific director/comedy creator James Burrows selling his house in Los Angeles’ Bel-Air area. On March 27, we wrote on Burrows listing the mansion, and then on September 7, we broke the story of Burrows selling the mansion. We also provided the sale price ($10,500,000), which Ryon doesn’t have in tomorrow’s column. –One of Ryon’s later items is about the former Madonna-owned mansion in Beverly Hills being on the market for $17,495,000. We wrote about that listing on September 17, at exactly the same time that our friends over at the Real Estalker simultaneously uploaded their very well-done post (http://realestalker.blogspot.com/2007/09/former-madonna-estate-goes-on-block.html) on Madonna’s mansion (hey, great minds think alike). Ryon also writes about the former Buddy Ebsen estate in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. being on the market for just under $4 million and also about a costume designer buying a place in Santa Fe, N.M.
