Actor Dylan McDermott has placed his five-bedroom Spanish hacienda-style house in Los Angeles' Brentwood area on the market for $11,000,000 -- yet another in a recent series of celebrity house sales that have been caused by divorces. In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on McDermott's listing of his house, which is at 201 S. Rockingham Avenue in Brentwood. The house, which has had a storied celebrity ownership history in the last 12 years (probably more *recent* celebrity owners than any other house we've profiled), came on the market on July 25. McDermott recently filed for divorce from his longtime (since 1995) actress wife Shiva Rose (pictured here with him).  Records show that McDermott's Coco Trust (with Frank Selvaggi as the money manager) purchased the Rockingham Avenue home on July 14, 1999 for $3,940,000, with the deal being recorded on August 25, 1999. The seller in July 1999? None other than celebrity power couple Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas, whose Javier U S Trust and Marbella Trust (through money managers Wayne Mejia, Page Jenkins and Francisco Javier Dominguez) had owned the Rockingham Avenue house since buying it in January 1997 from actress Michelle Pfeiffer and uber-TV show creator and executive producer David E. Kelley's Canyon Trust. Built in 1920, McDermott's Rockingham Avenue house has three baths, a two-story vaulted living room with a carved balcony, a den, and a second-story "muse" room, according to public records and listing information. Other features include original beams, stenciled walls, deep-set doorways, three fireplaces, a family room, and an eat-in Thomas Callaway kitchen, according to listing information. Outdoor features on the 0.68-acre (29,447-square-foot) lot include a pool/spa area that overlooks the Riviera hills, a courtyard and fountain, and a 250-year-old oak tree, according to public records and listing information. The house is one of the first homes ever built in Brentwood, according to listing information. Check out an online listing sheet for McDermott's house -- complete with photos. And, for a virtual tour, take a look at a website for the house itself, which is a URL that contains the house's address. In addition, much as was the case with our Kiefer Sutherland exclusive last weekend (in which we wrote about Sutherland placing his L.A.-area dwelling on the market because of a divorce and his ex-wife is the listing agent), a relative of McDermott and Rose's also appears to be one of the listing agents. Rose's full name is Shiva Rose Afshar, and one of the listing agents is named Nader Glenn Afshar. For the record, Griffith and Banderas sold the Rockingham Avenue house to McDermott because they paid $4,200,000 in 1999 through their Marbella Trust and their Javier U S Trust to purchase the nine-bedroom (or 13-bedroom, according to public records), 15,110-square-foot house at 611 S. Muirfield Road in Los Angeles' Hancock Park area, according to public records. They also then paid $1,300,000 in 2000 to buy the place next door, at 625 S. Muirfield Road, according to public records. Check out this Associated Press article about McDermott buying the Rockingham Avenue house way back in 1999.
