Denise Richards lists mansion in Hidden Hills, CA for $4,495,000
Actress Denise Richards is on the move yet again, listing her five-bedroom, one-story “equestrian estate” house in a celebrity enclave of Hidden Hills, Calif. for $4,495,000.

Your Mama over at the Real Estalker did a fine job yesterday of writing about this subject—as have the tabloids—but we thought we’d weigh in with our thoughts (and information) as well. Richards, 36, paid $4 million in May 2006 through her Lucy Trust for the 5,188-square-foot house on a 1.108-acre lot at 23703 Long Valley Road in Hidden Hills. Now, however, Richards is pulling up stakes and moving on. Her PR people claim she’s selling the house to find something larger, but apparently Richards also has earned the wrath and scorn of her neighbors for having invited photographers from Us magazine into her gated enclave.

So now, Richards is selling the house after a very short stay in it. Features in the house, which was built in 1954, include four full baths and one half bath, an office, a gym, parklike grounds with a sprawling lawn, an outdoor barbecue and fireplace, a pool, a spa and a barn, according to public records and listing information. Check out listing information for the house that Richards is selling here and also here.
Richards previously had lived in Westlake Village, Calif., where she had purchased a 7,407-square-foot house on a 1.2-acre lot at 4671 Middle Fork Circle in May 2005 for $3,995,000, and sold it in July 2006 for $4.1 million. That house is just a few blocks west of actress Heather Locklear’s house, which is at 4970 Summit View Drive in Thousand Oaks, Calif. and which was deeded to Locklear in 1995 by her ex-husband, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, according to public records. As most know, Richards and Locklear’s estranged husband, Richie Sambora, began an affair as Sambora and Locklear’s divorce process began, which had to have made remaining in Westlake Village/Thousand Oaks difficult for Richards. As such, she made the move last summer to the Hidden Hills house that she’s now selling.
Among the other celebrities living in Richards’ Hidden Hills enclave are the following: actor Matt LeBlanc, whose Skyline Trust very quietly paid exactly $9 million in late 2005 to buy a six-bedroom, 11,158-square-foot house at 5580 Bill Cody Road in Hidden Hills, according to public records; Melissa Etheridge, who paid $3,595,000 in September 2004 to buy a 6,837-square-foot house on 3.42 acres at in Hidden Hills, according to public records; and Lisa Marie Presley.

[...] April 11, 2007Matt LeBlanc lists Hidden Hills, Calif. mansion for $3.295 million, may be moving to Pacific Palisades Yesterday, in the midst of writing about Denise Richards putting her house in Hidden Hills, Calif. up for sale, we were the first ever to print details on the six-bedroom, 11,158-square-foot mansion in Hidden Hills that “Friends” actor Matt LeBlanc very quietly purchased for $9 million in late 2005 through his Skyline Trust. We didn’t, however, check to see whether his house, at 5580 Bill Cody Road in Hidden Hills, might be back on the market (shame on us, because a simple google search would have done the trick), particularly given that LeBlanc’s divorce from his wife Melissa McKnight became final on October 6, 2006. Today, the Real Estalker done a fine job of reporting the latest: LeBlanc wants $10,295,000 for the mansion, just over a year after buying it. And, in a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can reveal that public records suggest that he may be moving to Pacific Palisades. [...]
[...] In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the purchase, which took place last month but which wasn’t recorded with Los Angeles County until about three weeks ago. It’s not clear whether Locklear’s second-floor, front-facing unit in the building at 211 S. Spaulding Drive in Beverly Hills is intended to be used as a part-time or full-time residence. Locklear’s main residence up to now has been the 8,115-square-foot house on 3.88 acres at 4970 Summit View Drive in Thousand Oaks, Calif., which we referenced earlier this week. And while it’s also uncertain who, if anyone, will get that house in the divorce, the Thousand Oaks house likely has foul memories for Locklear, given that as the divorce process began, her estranged husband Sambora began an affair with actress Denise Richards, whose house at the time was just a few blocks west at 4671 Middle Fork Circle in nearby Westlake Village, Calif. [...] Hidden Hills is of course a popular celebrity enclave, as recent posts that we’ve written about various celebrities demonstrate. Actress Denise Richards is selling her mansion there at 23703 Long Valley Road (she recently reduced it from $4,495,000 to $4,100,000), and the mansion once owned by Howie Mandel at 24710 Robert Guy Road also is for sale, for $5,495,000. In addition, earlier this year, actor Matt LeBlanc had listed his mansion at 5580 Bill Cody Road, as did actor Brad Garrett, who had listed his mansion at 25170 Jim Bridger Road. Neither of those properties appears to be officially on the market at present, and neither one has yet sold, according to the public records databases to which we have access. [...]
[...] For reasons we can’t explain, Ryon made no mention of Richards’ current house, at 23703 Long Valley Road, which we wrote about on April 10. Richards paid $4,000,000 for that house through her Lucy Trust in mid-2006, according to public records. That 5,188-square-foot house had been listed for $4,495,000 and now is on the market for $3,900,000 (yes, the asking price now is below Richards’ purchase price for it).
