Comedian Johnny Knoxville has placed a 3,744-square-foot house that he has owned in the Beachwood Canyon area of Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills area on the market for $2,295,000.

We're embarking on a series of posts about places currently on the market that others have written about -- but not us until now -- and we wanted to start with the listing by Knoxville of this four-bedroom Mediterranean villa-style house in the Hollywood Hills, which hit the market on June 17. Our friends over at the Real Estalker broke the story on June 18 of Knoxville's listing of this house. We previously had broken the story last July of Knoxville's listing of his other 2,946-square-foot house at 2481 Hollyridge Drive in the Hollywood Hills for $1,695,000 (and we wrote about its eventual sale for $1,816,000), and at that time last summer, we did wonder whether Knoxville -- who had been going through a divorce -- eventually would list the Beachwood Canyon house as well.

Now, we have our answer. Knoxville's property has a three-bedroom main house that was built in 1929 that has four and a half baths, a living room with dramatic circular stairs, a fireplace, and a gourmet kitchen with custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and granite appliances, according to public records and listing information. The main house also has a media room/family room and an attached one-bedroom guest apartment with one bath, a kitchen and a living room, according to listing information. Outdoor features on the 0.17-acre (7,558-square-foot) property include a terraced yard with three levels of entertaining, an infinity pool, a pool room with a bar, an outdoor fireplace, and grass, according to public records and listing information.

Knoxville and his then-wife had purchased the house in early 2005 for $2,060,000, according to public records.

It's unclear to us where Knoxville (shown here with a friend -- and a photo that we credit to Buzzfoto) is off to. When we find out, we'll provide it here. Stay tuned.
