Chicago Real Estate Inventory, Sales and Close Data
Compared with 2005, closings are down significantly while the number of listings coming on the market are down slightly from last year.
This only adds to the already high inventory levels. This graph shows that shows that inventory levels are very high for the Chicagoland.
In this table please note that type 1 : Condo and Townhomes, type 2: Single Family homes, Type 3 is multiunits
