Cher re-lists her 13,126-square-foot Italian Renaissance-style mansion in Malibu, CA, this time for $41M

Cher has re-listed her 13,126-square-foot Italian Renaissance-style mansion in Malibu, Calif. for $41,000,000.

Our friends over at the Real Estalker broke the story of this listing last week, and we wanted to weigh in on it as well before it gets too late. Indeed, the MLS shows that the mansion, which sits on a 1.72-acre bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean and is at 25142 Malibu Road, actually made its way back into the MLS on July 9.

Built by Cher in 1999 (according to public records) or 2000-2001 (according to news accounts at the time), the mansion has six bedrooms, seven baths, a theater, a gym, a master suite with two walk-in closets, a hammered-copper ceiling in the dining room, a media room and multiple verandas, according to public records, past news accounts and listing information. The property also has a guest house (with one bedroom and two baths), an infinity pool and a suspended tennis court with views of Malibu Bay, according to listing information and past news accounts. Underneath the suspended tennis court is parking for six cars, according to past news accounts.

We don’t know if Your Mama over at the Real Estalker was entirely joking when “she” wrote last week that “Your Mama likes to imagine La Cher has got a wig room too but we have direct knowledge of such a thing.” Interestingly, past news accounts have indicated that the 63-year-old diva *does* have a wig room inside this mansion.

Cher (shown here with her daughter — and soon to be son — Chastity, who now wants to be called Chaz) actually listed this mansion way back in 2001 for $25,000,000, as we had noted back in the fall of 2008 and as the Los Angeles Times’ Ruth Ryon had written back in 2001. Then, in the fall of ‘08, Cher jacked up the asking price to $45,000,000. Now, she’s brought it back on the market and knocked a modest amount off the asking price.
