Blowing His A-Wad: Baseball star Alex Rodriguez mulls buying this Greenwich, CT mansion, which is listed for $25M
New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez has been considering buying a 35,000-square-foot lakefront mansion on nine acres in Greenwich, Conn., which has been on the market for $25 million.

The New York Post reported today that that means that if true, that A-Rod is likely to stay a Yankee, longer-term.
He’s also reportedly eyeing a Manhattan town house. However, Rodriguez, who now lives on Park Avenue in Manhattan, is looking at a fascinating property: the Lake Carrington estate in Greenwich, Conn., which sits on nine acres and involves a Georgian-style, 40,000-square-foot stone mansion that is designed by architect Boris Baranovich and that Antares Investment Partners has been developing. Features in the seven-bedroom mansion include 17 bathrooms, nine fireplaces, a 45-foot-long indoor lap pool, a basketball court, a 20,000-bottle wine cellar, and a 20-seat home theater, the Post reported. Other structures on the estate include a fishing and ice-skating hut, the paper reported. In total, the property will contain about 41,000 square feet of space, the Wall Street Journal reported in January.
Located just off Round Hill Road in northern Greenwich, the mansion and property are being developed on spec, the paper reported.
