As we had noted on June 27, Thornton’s principal residence is the walled and gated, seven-bedroom, 11,012-square-foot Spanish-style mansion at 801 N. Roxbury Drive in Beverly Hills that he has owned since 2000. However, now, a Malibu property also is part of Thornton’s real-estate portfolio. Features in the house, which was built in 2002, include three baths, open living spaces, seamless glass railings, high vaulted ceilings, marble and walnut floors, double aluminum and glass front doors, and a living room with a custom fireplace, according to listing information. Other features include a dining room, a sun-drenched patio with slate floors, and an open kitchen with a massive island with Carrara marble and a custom glass bar, mahogany cabinets, a glass tile backsplash and top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances. The house also has a master suite with a private balcony, a walk-in closet, a bathroom with Carrara marble and mahogany cabinets, double floating sinks, a spa tub and an oversized rain shower, according to listing information. Finally, the house’s other bedrooms have large picture windows and walnut floors, two additional bathrooms with walls of marble, above counter sinks, Carrara marble counters and mahogany cabinets. Outside are mature bamboo trees, a large grass flat pad, terraced lawns and a two-car garage with built-in storage cabinets, according to listing information.
