Being Bill (and Hilary's) neighbor; house on the Clintons' street in Chappaqua, NY is on the market for $1.395M
A four-bedroom Colonial-style house on the same small Chappaqua, N.Y. street where Bill and Hillary Clinton own a home is on the market for $1,395,000. The New York Post’s Braden Keil reported on Friday on the listing of the house, which is at 1 Old House Lane in Chappaqua. The Clintons’ house, which they purchased in October 1999 for $1,700,000, is on a 1.1-acre parcel at 15 Old House Lane in Chappaqua. The house at 1 Old House Lane has a colorful history, as Keil noted. A disbarred attorney named Carlos Perez-Olivo had rented the house with his wife, Peggy. However, Perez-Olivo now is accused of having murdered Peggy on November 18, 2006 (she died the following day) in order to be with his mistress. If Perez-Olivo were indeed the murderer, that strategy didn’t work out so well for him; he’s now in jail awaiting trial on second-degree murder charges. ‘I had a client who was interested until she found out who lived there,’ one broker told Keil. Built in 1972, the 3,163-square-foot house has two and a half baths and a two-car garage, according to listing information. The house sits on a 1.06-acre parcel, according to public records. The current owner of the house, a Stamford, Conn.-based LLC company, purchased it in 2006 for $1,250,000, according to public records.
