Beachfront estate in San Diego’s La Jolla area that was owned by actor Cliff Robertson until 2005 has been reduced from $28M to $22.5M
The 6,129-square-foot, oceanfront estate in the La Jolla area of San Diego that actor Cliff Robertson had owned for more than 40 years until selling it in 2005 for $14,500,000 is back on the market, and it recently was reduced from $28,000,000 to $22,500,000.
The Wall Street Journal’s “Private Properties” column today reported on the listing of the estate, which is at 325 Dunemere Drive in La Jolla. Situated on a 1.4-acre lot, the eight-bedroom compound, which is known as “Casa de la Paz,” was built either in 1922, according to listing information, or in 1925, according to public records.
Robertson, who was born and raised in La Jolla, owned the property from 1963 until 2005, when he sold it to the couple that now has it on the market. When Robertson first put the estate up for sale in 2003, he asked a whopping $25,000,000 for it. Robertson, 81, now lives on a house on several acres on Morrison Lane in Water Mill, N.Y., on Long Island.
Features in the La Jolla estate include at least two fireplaces, a two-car garage, a tile roof, hardwood floors and ocean views, according to listing information. The Journal reported today that the current owners, a real-estate developer and his wife, are considering expanding the house by almost 4,000 square feet, adding an oceanfront pool, a gym and a sauna, and adding another 3,000 square feet or so of patio and deck space.
