Public records finally have cleared regarding Jennifer Aniston’s purchase of her new mansion in Beverly Hills, Calif., and she didn’t pay $15 million for the house, as the Los Angeles Times and other media outlets have reported.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can reveal that Aniston actually paid $13.5 million for the six-bedroom, 9,105-square-foot house at 1004 N. Hillcrest Road, which was built in 1972 and sits on close to a half-acre. The house, which was designed by architect Hal Levitt, also has seven bathrooms, the Times has reported.
Aniston bought the house through her Wonder Trust, which continues to own the actress’ pre-marriage, 2,903-square-foot house at 1639 Blue Jay Way in the Hollywood Hills. She bought that house 1995 for $742,500 and since has continued to rent it out. She no longer is living in the beach house on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, which she had been renting from Oracle Corp. Larry Ellison.
Jennifer has lots of celebrity neighbors in her new ‘hood, including her fellow “Friend” Courteney Cox, whose Bring It Trust paid $5,450,000 in 2004—and not $9 million, as the New York Post recently reported—for her 4,994-square-foot house at 1012 Wallace Ridge, which is just a block away (Cox still owns her 4,486-square-foot house at 22426 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, which she bought in 2001 for $10,185,000, but she recently has been rumored to be shopping it). Other celebrity neighbors of Jennifer include Simon Cowell, who lives a few blocks to the south at 717 N. Palm Drive in a house that he bought in September 2004 for $8 million (and not the $7.2 million that the Los Angeles Times and other papers have reported).
