Actress Valarie Pettiford, who starred on the UPN's 'Half & Half' from 2002 until it was cancelled in 2006, has sold her 2,707-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Studio City area for $1,181,000 and has paid $520,000 for a town home in Los Angeles' North Hollywood area.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the transactions by the 47-year-old, Tony Award-nominated Pettiford. Records show that she sold the two-story house in Studio City on May 14, although it wasn't recorded until June 20. And she and her husband, Anthony Rader, purchased the unit in North Hollywood on May 21, although the purchase wasn't recorded until August 13.
Built in 1942, Pettiford's former Studio City house had been listed for $1,299,000. The four-bedroom, traditional-style house at 12424 Kling Street in Studio City has three baths, a cook's kitchen, hardwood floors, a large family room that is wired for sound, custom storage cabinets with full extension drawers, and a master suite with two custom walk-in closets, a private sun-deck and a designer tile bath, according to listing information. Other features include plantation shutters, travertine tile baths, recessed lighting, high ceilings, a security system, a spa tub and a yard with landscaping, according to listing information.
The house sits on a 0.17-acre parcel, according to public records.
Pettiford's new town home is in a nine-home development in North Hollywood. It's not clear whether her town home is a two-bedroom or a three-bedroom unit, but it does have a loft, a private rooftop deck and patio, according to listing information.
