Actress Scarlett Johansson has paid $2,100,000 for a four room penthouse unit in Mid-Town Manhattan, near Sutton Place.
The New York Observer’s “Manhattan Transfers” column, uploaded to the Internet last night, reported on the purchase of the penthouse unit, which is in the Sutton Manor building in Manhattan. Records show that Johansson’s Trust went to contract to purchase the unit on March 1, with the deal closing on April 28. The deal was recorded on May 22.
The unit is in a 19-story building that was built in 1958. The unit measures 1,198 square feet, according to public records, or 1,270 square feet, according to listing information. Features in the two-bedroom unit include two baths (both of which were renovated with stone and wood), a large terrace, and a greenhouse off the bedroom, according to listing information. Check out an online listing sheet for Johansson’s new unit – complete with photos – here.
Recall that Johansson recently took a loss on her loft unit at 66 Leonard Street in Manhattan’s TriBeCa area when she sold it for $1,898,000, as we reported on April 30. Johansson continues to own a 4,232-square-foot house in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills, which she purchased last year for exactly $7,000,000 through her trust and which we wrote about on July 29, 2007.
