Actress Natasha Henstridge has placed her 3,825-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Sherman Oaks neighborhood on the market for $1,750,000.
This is an item that we have been wanting to weigh in on before it got too terribly stale. Ann Brenoff over at the Los Angeles Times broke the story in late February of Henstridge's listing of her traditional-style home. That was quite a scoop, given that the house didn't formally hit the MLS until March 2!
Built in 1935 and billed as a "celebrity owned home," Henstridge's five-bedroom house has six baths, five fireplaces, an open floor plan, a family room, hardwood floors, high-beamed ceilings and a gourmet kitchen with a wood center table, a wine refrigerator, a beverage door, granite countertops and double sinks, according to listing information. Outdoor features on the 0.45-acre (19,497-square-foot) property, which is south of Ventura Boulevard (and just off of Beverly Glen Boulevard), include parklike grounds, decks, a patio area, a pool, a large grassy yard and San Fernando Valley views, according to public records and listing information.
Why is Henstridge selling this property? It's anyone's guess. Possibly with her "Eli Stone" money (and notoriety), she is choosing to move to more secure digs. On the other hand, with "Eli Stone" having been canceled, maybe she's worried about a lack of a paycheck. Or, perhaps she wants to get out of the San Fernando Valley (not that she's that deeply in the Valley anyhow).
We will keep you posted as we learn more.
