Actress Mariska Hargitay has paid $7,000,000 for a new penthouse unit in New York City's Flatiron District.
The New York Observer's Max Abelson wrote today about Hargitay's purchase of the penthouse unit in the recently converted, five-story O'Neill building in the Flatiron District, at 655 Sixth Avenue in Manhattan. Public records show that Hargitay went to contract to buy the unit in the block-long, 1887 building on July 11, and the sale closed on October 11, according to public records. The purchase was recorded with the city on November 1, according to public records.
Interestingly, public records show that the 'full sale price' for the unit, which includes personal property, was $7,127,750, although the amount attached to the document is $7,000,000 even.
We previously wrote on October 24 about Hargitay having sold her six-room penthouse at 19 Beach Street in Manhattan's TriBeCa neighborhood for $5,100,000, because, she has said, she needed more space for her family. As we had noted, Hargitay had sold that three-bedroom unit on October 9, according to public records. Our October 24 post also discussed Hargitay's sale of her place in Los Angeles.
