Actress Joely Fisher has purchased a newly built house in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles, reportedly for $3.5 million.
The Los Angeles Times' Ruth Ryon tomorrow will break the story that Fisher, 39, paid $3.5 million for her new house, at 4123 Stansbury Avenue in Sherman Oaks. The sale has cleared public records (it closed on June 18 and was recorded on July 6), but the purchase price isn't yet available, so we can't independently confirm Ryon's report on the purchase price.
However, we can reveal that the Spanish-style house had been listed for $3,995,000. There is tremendous disagreement, though, on the size of Fisher's new house. Public records state that the house measures 7,807 square feet, while listing information says that it's 9,830 square feet. Ryon's column tomorrow, meanwhile, will report that the house is 'about 9,900 square feet.'
Whatever its exact square footage, the seven-bedroom house has seven and a half baths, a three-room detached guest house, a two-story foyer with a skylight, high ceilings, hardwood floors, Saltillo tile floors, iron lighting fixtures, a fireplace in the living room, a formal dining room, a media room, a library, a wine room, a three-room guest/maid suite, a pool and spa, a breakfast room and a kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, according to listing information.

Fisher still is trying to sell her house at 16461 Garvin Drive in Los Angeles' Encino area, which currently is on the market for $4,295,000. We wrote about that Encino listing on June 5 and we wrote about it again on June 22. Check out the listing sheet for Fisher's Encino house .
