Actress and singer Abbe Lane and her husband have their house in Los Angeles' Holmby Hills area on the market for $19,750,000.

The five-bedroom house, at 444 N. Faring Road in Holmby Hills, has actually been on the market since August, but it was featured as the "House of the Week" in today's Wall Street Journal (link not yet available online), so we thought it'd be good to profile the house.

Lane, 75, hasn't been seen much in the last 20 years or so. Her last roles were guest shots in shows like "Vega$" and "Hart to Hart," and the movie "The Twilight Zone."

Built in 1938, the house sits on a 1.3-acre parcel. It measures either 8,783 square feet (according to public records) or 9,500 square feet (according to listing information). Features in the New England-style house include 10 baths, three staff bedrooms, five fireplaces, mountain views, a two-story guest house with a kitchen, a tennis court and a pool, according to listing information and the Journal. Lane has owned the house since 1983, and in that time, she and her husband added on to the house by adding two bedroom suites, a wine cellar and a marble-floored conservatory, the Journal reported. The couple also expanded the guest house and added office space, and preserved 100-year-old pine paneling in the library and original scenic wallpaper, the paper reported.

Lane and her husband own several other properties, including a 7,128-square-foot house on a 1.08-acre lot at 500 Bel Air Road in Los Angeles' Bel-Air area that they purchased in early 2004 for $5,850,000 and an 8,302-square-foot house on 12.7 acres in Pitkin County, Colorado, according to public records.
