Actress and heiress Liesel Pritzker has paid $6,200,000 for a seven-room, 4,146-square-foot condominium unit in a castlelike building on Manhattan's Central Park West. The New York Observer today broke the story of the purchase of the three-bedroom unit by Pritzker, 23. The actress/heiress, who won a reported $450 million several years ago after a dispute with some (much older) relatives in her well-heeled Chicago family, purchased the newly converted unit through her SRU New York LLC corporation, according to public records. The company's initials stand for the name of its predecessor company, Shacks R Us LLC, which is the entity that Pritzker used for her previous real-estate purchase in Manhattan. Pritzker's new unit, which is in the building at 455 Central Park West, has a 37-foot-long, 1,100-square-foot circular living room, a round master suite, a wood-burning fireplace, French library doors and a master bath with a Jacuzzi, steam shower, two sinks and two dressing areas, the Observer reported. Other features include four full baths, a library, a grand foyer, high ceilings, hardwood floors, and a kitchen with granite countertops, cherry cabinets and top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, according to listing information. Check out an online listing sheet for Pritzker's new unit. Back in 2005, Pritzker had paid $2,299,000 (or $2,340,957, depending upon which public-records database one consults) for a 1,660-square-foot unit in the building at 2770 Broadway on Manhattan's Upper West Side, according to public records. There's no word yet on whether she will keep that unit or not. We'll of course keep you posted.
