Actress and comedienne Ruth Buzzi has sold her three-bedroom, 2,893-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills for $1,021,000.
Our friends over at the Real Estalker broke the story a few weeks ago of Buzzi's sale of her house, at 2309 Malaga Drive in the Hills' Outpost Estates neighborhood. Indeed, public records show that Buzzi, who just turned 73 on July 24, closed on the sale of the house on May 6, with the deed being recorded on June 24. Records show that the buyers are a young producer who has produced or executive produced a ton of movies, including several that you have heard of, and a dog-clothing designer (we are not making this up). They are not celebrities per se, however.
Built in 1937, Buzzi's house had been listed for $1,299,000 and later was reduced to $1,099,000. Features in the house include three baths, hardwood floors, high ceilings, two fireplaces, a large master suite with a walk-in closet, balconies and large decks, according to listing information. The house sits on a 0.24-acre (10,589-square-foot) lot, according to public records. There's some difference of opinion over exactly when Buzzi purchased the house. Her husband, Kent Perkins told the Real Estalker that she purchased it in 1968, while public records suggest that the purchase (for an undisclosed price) actually took place in 1970.
In any event, Buzzi now is spending her retirement with Perkins in Southlake, Texas, where she and her husband own a 5,364-square-foot house, according to public records, and also on a farm in Aledo, Texas.
